Guacamole Easy Recipe

Who doesn’t like guacamole? It is one of the yummiest dips around, and avocado provides healthy fat that is good for you. What’s not to love?

Here are two easy ways to make guacamole that does not require a lot of prepping or chopping. The bulk of the work is in cutting the avocado and scooping the insides out.

Remember: There is no “right” way to make guacamole. Experiment with different ingredients to see what tastes good to you. You can also add some fruit to make a nice alternative guacamole dish that adds a hint of sweetness.

For fruit, try pineapples, mangoes, papayas, or other types of tropical fruit.

Guacamole Easy Recipe

You can make guacamole with this easy recipe without too much fuss or bother.

All you need are a few avocados and a few other ingredients.

We are providing a fast way to make a guacamole easy recipe, where you can “cheat” and use canned tomatoes and green chilis. Otherwise, feel free to get some fresh tomatoes to cut up.

We aren’t using exact amounts in the recipe. As you go along, use your taste buds to determine how much of the various ingredients you would like.

Ingredients:

4-5 avocados

1-10 oz can of tomatoes with green chilis

Garlic to taste (fresh or already minced in oil)

A few squeezes of lemon juice (fresh from a lemon or from a bottle of lemon juice)

Salt and pepper to taste

Supplies:

Mixing bowl

Paring knife for the avocado

Optional knife to mince garlic

Large spoon

Instructions:

Cut lengthwise around the avocado in half. Split the avocado in two, and remove the large pit in the middle. Scrape out the avocado flesh, cutting out any brown or black spots.

Do this for each avocado and place into the mixing bowl.

Mash up the avocado with a spoon.

Then, depending on how much avocado you were able to generate, put in approximately half of the tomatoes and green chilis. You can save the rest for later.

Mix.

Add garlic to taste and a few squeezes of lemon juice.

You can optionally add salt and pepper to taste.

This guacamole will usually last for a day in the fridge, although it will be brown the next day.

Even Easier Guacamole Easy Recipe

Ingredients:

4-5 avocados

Your favorite store-bought salsa

Supplies:

Mixing bowl

Paring knife for the avocado

Open up the jar of your favorite salsa and pour a little bit into the mashed avocado. Mix until it is blended, and then taste to see if it would be better if you added more.

Keep adding a little bit of salsa until you get that “just right” balance of salsa and avocado.

Voila! You have guacamole!

The best part about this recipe is that you can try different types of salsa, some of which may already have tropical fruit like mango in it. You can use mild, medium, or hot salsa for guacamole with an extra kick.

Health Benefits of Avocado

Avocados are packed with nutrition. They even have more potassium than the proverbial banana. They may help reduce the risk of cancer and can help maintain healthy cholesterol levels. With vitamin K, they can help stave off osteoporosis.

Our good green friend the avocado can even help alleviate depression. And the avocado does all of this while improving digestion too!

For all of these wonderful reasons, it is not a bad idea to eat some guacamole every day. Sure, avocado has fat in it, but it is the good fat – the fat that helps your brain think better, among other things.

Enjoy!
