Questions and Answers
what is the difference between the 48R and 48? what does remote refrigeration mean?
The difference is that the R version is remote refrigeration. It requires a condensing unit as well as an Hvac techinican to connect the cabinet and the condensing unit. The remote is ideal for customers who will be placing this unit is a warm kitchen where the unit will be pressed close up against other equipment. Remote refrigeration defers heat and noise. If the unit is going to be in an AC , temperature controlled environment, with enough space to properly breath, then the self contained (NON R) is an option. Please note that self contained units are intended for use in the back of the kitchen , not the "front of the house", as they may produce noise.
