Shipping Policy

IMPORTANT information regarding your delivery:

Your delivery will come by a national carrier. By law they are only required to deliver to a loading dock. If you don’t have a dock and your item is heavy, you will need to take your item off the truck so please have enough help available or order lift gate delivery (see below). If you need 24-hour notice before delivery please let us know. For larger items, we highly recommend that you pre-measure your doorways to make sure it will fit through. You must be able and available to receive your merchandise when the truck arrives especially if delivery arrangements have been made. If the truck needs to return another day, storage and/or re-delivery charges may apply.

VERY IMPORTANT!

Do not sign for or accept any delivery without opening the package & inspecting for damage inside and out! Do not sign for damaged products. The Trucker should not rush you.10-15 minutes is a reasonable amount of time to expect to be given to thoroughly inspect each item. If the driver is rushing you, ask to speak with his dispatcher. Note anything unusual with the packaging i.e. a dent in the carton, different colored shrink wrap etc. Take a photo if possible. If you wish to accept the item with a packaging or product irregularity, be sure to clearly note on the bill of lading any packaging or product issues and also mark "Possible concealed damage, subject to further inspection". But you will then have to accept what the trucking company will pay if you file a claim. In any case, please immediately report any damage to our customer service dept. at 800-555-0666 option 3 within 24 hours.

Shipping Terms:

Lift-Gate Delivery (Price varies per manufacturer) – Lift-gate delivery is where the freight carrier uses a lift to lower your equipment to the ground. If you do not have a loading dock and lift-gate is required please let us know at the time of the order so we could arrange it for you. Please also note that Lift-Gate Delivery is to curb side, and it is the purchasers’ responsibility to bring the unit indoors. If you need help to get your item inside you might want to consider our Inside Delivery service (see below). Some over-sized items will not fit on a lift-gate and will require a fork-lift or white glove delivery.  

Inside Delivery (Call or request price at checkout) – Inside Delivery is when the carrier will move your equipment into your building. This is assuming that it’s on the first floor and the carriers don’t have to carry your merchandise up or down any staircase.

Expedited Shipping (Call 800-555-0666 option 1) – We also provide expedited shipping in certain cases for an additional charge. Expedited orders will be processed by E. Friedman Associates with-in 12 business hours. Please note that even if your order is on expedited shipping, E. Friedman Associates cannot be held responsible for delays caused by the manufacturer or freight carrier.

Residential Deliveries - There is a $50 charge to customers shipping to a residential address. This is due to the additional charge assessed by the commercial freight carriers for such deliveries. IMPORTANT NOTE! Due to liability concerns and other reasons, some manufacturers do NOT WARRANTY their equipment when used in a residential setting.
