The Turbo-Air MST-48-18-N Mega Top Table has an attractive exterior constructed with robust stainless steel panels for the front, top, and sides. This is buttressed by interior aluminum side and back panels, further ensuring that the unit can withstand the rigors of a busy commercial kitchen environment. The interior floor is made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, which prevents the buildup of rust that can occur from exposure to moisture and food acids.

Ergonomically Designed Stainless Steel Doors

Each of the unit’s (2) swing doors has a stainless steel exterior and an ABS interior liner. The doors have ergonomic recessed handles that give the unit a sleek, modern look while allowing you to grip the handles with ease and open the doors without a hitch. Foodservice operators that want to place their food items under lock and key may request for optional door locks that come at an additional charge.

Cold Bunker System Keeps Ingredients Cool and Safe

The unit’s worktop accommodates 18 1/6 size food pans to accommodate a wide variety of sandwich and salad ingredients. A 9 ½”-deep cutting board is positioned in front of the unit, allowing you to prepare all ingredients right before they go into the food pan. To keep ingredients fresh right up to the moment of serving, the sandwich/salad’s cold bunker system creates a cold air shield around the food pans. This keeps the food pans at a safe temperature of 41° F to prevent your ingredients from spoiling. An insulated pan cover can be pulled down when the unit is not in use. If you need individual pan covers, these are available for an additional fee. For extra storage at room temperature, you may also include a stainless steel overhead double shelf. The shelf also comes at an additional charge.

Cold-Air Compartment to Keep Extra Food Items at Hand

The Turbo-Air MST-48-18-N has a self-contained refrigerated compartment with 15 cu. ft. of space for storing additional ingredients. This saves you the extra steps you need to take going to the main refrigerator and back when you need more ingredients. The interior includes (2) heavy-duty polyethylene-coated wire shelves that resist moisture damage. These can be adjusted in height for better organization of the compartment’s contents. An additional wire shelf is also available for an extra fee if. The interior is lit by energy-efficient LED lighting. It is fully insulated using high-density polyurethane insulation to ensure the cold air stays inside the compartment. The temperature range starts at 33° F to 39° F. you can adjust and keep an eye on the temperature using the unit’s digital temperature control and monitoring system.

Self-Cleaning Condenser for Maximum Performance

To ensure the unit is at its best at all times, the Turbo-Air MST-48-18-N has a self-cleaning condenser system that prevents dust buildup from forming in the condenser coils and causing undue stress on the unit. The system comprises a rotating brush that automatically moves up and down two to three times per day to remove dust that may have accumulated in the condenser. The condenser and evaporator are also given a special anti-corrosion treatment that prevents rust and damage that may lead to refrigerant leakage.

Mobile Sandwich/Salad Unit with Swivel Casters

To help you pull the unit out for servicing and put it back into place, the Turbo-Air MST-48-18-N has (4) swivel casters measuring 4” in diameter. The front (2) casters are fitted with locks to keep the unit stationary when in use. You may request to have the unit equipped with stainless steel or ABS plastic legs if you want a non-mobile unit instead. The legs are available at an additional charge.

Eco-Friendly Hydrocarbon Refrigerant Reduces Harm to Mother Earth

In 2017, the EPA and DOE updated their regulations on refrigerant use to crack down on refrigeration products that are harmful to the environment. Turbo-Air uses earth-friendly R290 refrigerant, a hydrocarbon refrigerant that complies with the EPA and DOE’s strict new regulations. R290 does not release CFCs that cause damage to the ozone layer and contributes little to global warming, making it the refrigerant of choice for environmentally conscious businesses that want to reduce their environmental footprint.
