A spacious prep table like the SPED72HC-18M-2 Elite Series™ Mega Top Refrigerated Counter from Beverage Air provides users with an ergonomic workspace that streamlines prep work. This prep table features two refrigerated drawer sections, two reach-in sections, and eighteen ⅙ pans in a refrigerated bunker for easy to access to smaller ingredients. The drawers and reach-in sections offer 20.0 cu. ft. of easy to access storage. The reach-in sections each have two epoxy-coated wire shelves to organize items and the drawers are designed to hold pans up to 6" deep for added versatility.

A full-width polyethylene cutting board providing plenty of space allows users to work freely on sandwiches or salads. The cutting board is secured to the counter but can be removed easily for maintenance or cleaning. The pans are kept between  41°F and 33°F through optimized airflow in the refrigerated bunker. Since the refrigerated bunker does not take up all the counter space, there is plenty of room for additional condiments or ingredients that don’t need to be kept cold.

The drawers feature slides with a locking mechanism to prevent them from being pulled out of the cabinet accidentally. Stainless steel frames are used to support the telescoping drawer slides for effortless access to ingredients. The temperature inside the drawers is constantly maintained between 36º and 38ºF to maximize the shelf life of stored food.

The refrigerated reach-in sections feature corrosion-resistant aluminum interiors making the unit easy to clean and maintain over the years. Each section comes with two epoxy-coated swire shelves maximizing the amount of usable space. A temperature between 36º and 38ºF is easily maintained with limited power use thanks to the self-closing door and removable gaskets. However, the door can remain open when opened to 120˚ when accessing multiple items that require two free hands.

The refrigeration system installed at the bottom of this refrigerated counter uses environmentally-friendly R290 refrigerant which is hydrocarbon-based. An efficient ⅓  HP compressor providing 1549 BTU/hr of cooling makes sure everything stays nice and cool. For convenience, this unit has an automatic defrost system which is non-electric.

This unit ships from the factory with an 8’ power cable that terminates in a 5-15P plug to connect it to a standard 115v/60/1-ph power outlet.
