Storing refrigerated goods in bulk safely and efficiently is a challenge but the Nor-Lake KLB8466-C 6' x 6' x 8'-4" H Kold Locker is up to the task and will serve in the role for many years.

To provide the best insulation, each panel is 4” thick. The exterior and interior sides of the panel are made from 26 gauge steel with a corrosion-resistant embossed stucco finish. Inside each panel, EPA-compliant polyurethane insulation keeps the heat at bay. The panels have male and female rails that mate together to ensure proper alignment during installation. Foamed-in-place cam locking fasteners provide an air-tight seal while a continuous panel gasket goes around the outer perimeter without breaks or cuts at the corners. The ceiling and panels on this unit have edge caps that are foamed-in-place rather than mechanically fastened to prevent them from coming loose.

Kold Locker walk-in units come standard with a 26” wide door, and 30” wide door kit with a stainless steel kick plate is available as a free upgrade. The door is designed with a stepped profile that acts as a barrier decreasing airflow for better energy-efficiency. The door can have its two cam-lift hinges installed on either the right or left. These hinges are field-adjustable to make sure the door opens and closes smoothly while providing a secure seal. A spring-assisted door closer is included to make sure the door is never left ajar. Each door comes pre-hung in a panel that is 4’ wide and features a perimeter heating wire that is replaceable. Each door panel also comes with a vapor proof LED lighting fixture activated by a switch that has an exterior indicator light, magnetic stainless steel trim, and a digital thermometer. Products inside are secured with an NL 9800 deadbolt handle that has an independent key/padlock feature. To make sure workers don’t get locked inside each walk-in comes with a safety release.

The ceiling-mounted refrigeration unit is an RCPB050JC-S-0-EV Capsule Pak unit that produces 4060 BTU/hr of efficient cooling that maintains temperatures between 35°F and 38°F. The Capsule Pak unit comes with the Enviro-Control™ electronic control system to adjust the temperature and set the timing for automatic defrosting. An automatic condensate vaporizer is shipped loose and wired in the field removing the need for a drain line.
