Measuring 27 ½” wide, this self-contained, one-section freezer offers extra cold storage space when the main freezers just don’t cut it. Built with heavy-duty materials and excellent craftsmanship, the Turbo-Air MUF-28-N is designed to meet the demands of the most exacting kitchen professionals.

Stainless Steel and Aluminum Construction for Long-Term Reliability

This undercounter freezer features heavy-duty stainless steel exterior top, front, and side panels designed to remain tough in the faces of the stresses of a foodservice establishment. The interior panels are made of aluminum to provide support for the exterior, while a corrosion-resistant interior floor prevents the formation of rust that can occur due to the occasional food spill.

Self-Closing Swing Door Prevents Cold Air Leaks

The Turbo-Air MUF-28-N’s interior can be accessed through a stainless steel swing door, field-reversible so you can change the direction in which the door opens. The door has a self-closing hinge to keep anyone from accidentally leaving it open and letting out the cold air.

The recessed door handle is ergonomically designed to let you comfortably grasp it with your fingers. An optional door lock is available for an extra fee if you want to keep your frozen items away from prying eyes and hands. Please keep in mind that the door lock requires extra lead time.

The door’s interior is lined with ABS sheet that is designed to resist water damage. The door uses a one-piece magnetic gasket that can be easily removed for hassle-free cleaning and maintenance.

Optimum Temperatures for Preserving Your Products

The Turbo-Air MUF-28-N can keep freezing temperatures between -10° F and 0° F, which can be adjusted using the freezer’s digital temperature control and monitoring system. An LED display allows you to keep an eye on the temperature and make sure it is kept at safe levels. Layers of CFC-free high-density polyurethane insulation are foamed into place all throughout the interior to further keep the cold air inside.

Attractive LED lighting lights up the freezer interior to help you access its contents with ease. The interior includes (1) heavy-duty wire shelf coated in durable polyethylene to prevent it from developing rust and posing hygiene concerns. An additional wire shelf is also available for a fee if you need it to arrange your items more efficiently.

Anti-Corrosion Evaporator Prevents Refrigerant Leakage and Safety Issues

The Turbo-Air MUF-28-N uses an evaporator that was specially treated with an anti-corrosion coating. This protects the coil from rust that can occur when exposed to food acids. The corrosion-resistant evaporator keeps the refrigerant safely inside the coil and prevents leaks that may create safety issues in your commercial kitchen.

Self-Cleaning Condenser System for Easy Maintenance 

To keep the condenser in excellent order, Turbo-Air fitted it with an electronic rotating brush that automatically moves up and down two to three times per day. This removes dust particles that may have gathered in the condenser and prevents dust buildup that compromises the performance of the freezer. The condenser is also protected by a fine mesh filter that minimizes the amount of dust that can get to it.  

Swivel Casters for Convenience

When you need to pull out the freezer from under the counter for maintenance, you can simply unlock the front casters and pull the unit out. The 4” swivel casters make it easy for you to move the freezer around without having to exert your muscles. If you prefer a stationary unit, you can avail of a set of stainless steel or ABS plastic legs at an additional charge. An optional backsplash guard to protect the freezer’s top from food and oil splatters is also available for an extra fee.

Earth-Friendly Freezer that Uses Hydrocarbon Refrigerant

The Turbo-Air MUF-28-N is in full compliance with the EPA and DOE’s strict standards on refrigerant use and management. The freezer uses R290 refrigerant, a hydrocarbon refrigerant that has an Ozone Depletion Potential of 0 and a Global Warming Potential of 3.
