Univex BC18 Description
The Univex BC18 Bowl Cutter allows for the continuous cutting of food for true large volume food processing. This unit is perfect for parsley, meat, root vegetables, pork, bread, spreads, cheese, dips, and salads. The bowl cutter excels at making mixed foods such as coleslaw since the cutting and turning motion naturally mixes the multiple ingredients together. Food Cutters like this model from Univex make it easy to process large amounts of food quickly with as little effort as possible.
This unit uses an 18” bowl made from 304 stainless steel that rotates at 22 RPM while twin cutlery grade stainless steel blades provide 3,768 cuts per minute.
Operating the unit is simple with a momentary start/stop push button which is illuminated for indicating power. To keep operators safe a bowl cover interlock stops the unit from operating when the cover is not closed and locked. Additionally, a bowl sensor switch does not allow the unit to operate when there is no bowl in the unit.
A built-in industry standard #12 PTO hub that runs at 269 RPM can be used for other food processing attachments for convenience and efficiency when considering workflow.
The body of the unit is made from anodized aluminum with a polished finish which makes the unit simple to clean. The overall dimensions of this unit are 34-½” in width, 23-½” front-to-back, and 21” in height.
The unit is powered by a powerful 1 HP motor that delivers power through a heavy-duty eight ribbed poly V belt. There are three (3) available power options for this model standard 115v/60/1-ph at 9.0 amps, 208/240/60/1-ph at 5.0 amps, and 220/240v/50/1-ph at 4.5 amps.
