The key feature of this Commercial Pasta Cooker is the automatic lifting system. Two (2) basket supports designed to fit GN ½ baskets automatically lift the baskets out of the water when a cycle finishes. Baskets are not included. This prevents the all too common faux pas of overcooking pasta which can easily happen in busy kitchens. These basket lifts can be programmed for 5 different cooking times for each basket as well as a selection of four (4) boiling cycles ranging from gentle to full-power. Aside from cooking pasta, this unit is great for cooking all sorts of noodles, rice, vegetables, and dumplings.
A built-in electric pre-heating system makes the unit thermally efficient and allows it to recover rapidly while the primary heating is accomplished with an infrared system positioned under the well. The seamlessly welded water basin is made from tough 316 stainless steel which is easy to clean and will last for decades. A skimming zone allows for easy removal of starch to make sure the water quality is maintained for a longer period.
The simple to use control panel allows for rapid filling and refilling of the basin with preheated water. To make sure the unit isn’t damaged from misuse, a safety thermostat prevents the unit from operating without water. Draining is quick and convenient with a manual ball valve.
The exterior of the Electrolux Professional 371174 (E7PCED1KF1) Automatic Pasta Cooker is made from high-quality stainless steel with a Scotch Brite finish. The unit stands on 2” long height adjustable legs to make sure it stands level even on uneven flooring. The overall external dimensions of the unit are 15-¾” in width, 28-¾” front-to-back, and 33-7/16” in height. The unit uses 208v/60/3-ph power and uses 23.0 amps at full load.
