The 231 cu. ft. interior of this walk-in coolers with top mounted compressor provides users with refrigerated storage options.

To keep the heat out, each panel is 4” thick. Each panel is constructed with 26 gauge steel coated with a corrosion-resistant embossed stucco finish. Inside each panel, foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation fills in all the gaps. Kold Locker walk-in units are easy to assemble, each panel has male and female mating rails that make alignment easy while foamed-in-place cam locking fasteners lock the panels together for an airtight seal. The corners feature panel gaskets that go around the exterior perimeter continuously without any breaks or cuts. 800 lbs per square foot can be supported by the floor panels. The floor panels are constructed in a similar fashion to the wall panels but use rustproof aluminum instead of steel. Floor and ceiling panels use foamed-in-place edge caps that will keep everything secure for the life of the walk-in.

The standard door is 26” wide with a  stepped profile to provide a barrier to airflow for an energy-efficient door. Usually upgrading the door with the wider 30” kit that comes with a stainless steel kick plate costs $250 but through CKitchen.com this upgrade is free. Two cam-lift hinges allow the door to open and close smoothly, they are field adjustable to compensate for any settling over the years to make sure the door always opens and closes smoothly while maintaining a proper seal. The door can be ordered hinged on the left or right to best fit your needs. A spring-loaded door closer makes sure the door is never left ajar. 

The door is pre-hung in a 4-foot wide panel and features a magnetic stainless steel trim, digital thermometer, replaceable perimeter heating wire, and vapor proof LED light fixture actuated by a switch with external indicator light. Everything inside the walk-in is kept secure by an NL 9800 deadbolt handle with an independent key/padlock feature. To keep workers safe, a safety release inside the door panel makes sure no-one gets locked inside.

To efficiently maintain temperatures between 35°F and 38°F this walk-in unit has a ceiling-mounted RCPB050JC-S-0-EV Capsule Pak Refrigeration system that produces 4060 BTU/hr of cooling. Adjusting the temperature inside is made simple by the Enviro-Control™ electronic controller system. This is also used for manual defrost and setting an automatic defrost timer. To protect this outdoor model from the elements, Nor-Lake includes a white 35 mill membrane roof material that doesn’t require gluing or seaming. The membrane roof is held in place with metal trim to flash it to the side of the unit secured by self-drilling/tapping TEK screws.
