To assure durability the internal and exterior surfaces of the panels feature an embossed stucco coating to provide corrosion resistance to the 26 gauge steel. These panels are 4” thick with foamed-in-place insulation between the steel panels providing an R-value of 25. For ease-of-installation, each panel has male and female rails that come together to ensure proper alignment. To maintain an air-tight seal between each panel foamed-in-place cam locking fasteners are used. A continuous panel gasket wraps around outer perimeter free from breaks or cuts at the corners. The ceiling and floor panels on this unit have edge caps that are foamed-in-place rather than mechanically fastened to prevent them from coming loose.

The door that comes with this unit is 26” wide with a stepped profile that impedes airflow for a more energy-efficient door. The two hinges can be installed on the right or left of the door and include field-adjustable cam-lifts with a locking set screw. A spring-actuated door closer makes sure it’s never left ajar to keep cooling costs low. 

To move items in and out of the walk-in easily with a handcart a 30” wide door kit is available with a stainless steel kick plate. This upgrade normally costs $250 but here at CKitchen you can avail of the upgrade for free.

The door comes pre-hung in a 4-foot wide panel section and features a magnetic stainless steel trim, digital thermometer, replaceable perimeter heating wire, and vapor proof LED light fixture actuated by a switch with external indicator light. Everything inside the walk-in is kept secure by an NL 9800 deadbolt handle with an independent key/padlock feature. To keep workers safe, a safety release inside the door panel makes sure no-one gets locked inside.

Cooling is provided by a ceiling-mounted RCPB050JC-E-0-EV Capsule Pak Refrigeration System producing 3654 BTU/hr that will maintain a temperature from 35°F to 38°F efficiently.  The refrigeration system is controlled by the Enviro-Control™ electronic control system which sets the temperature, defrost timer, and can be used to manually start a defrost cycle. Outdoor models come with metal trim to be used for flashing the membrane roof material to the side of panels. The roof is protected from the weather with a 35 mill white membrane roof material that requires no seaming or gluing. Trim is secured to wall panels with self-drilling and tapping TEK screws.
