As the name indicated they are a type of food processor that holds food in batches. The operator puts the food into the processor and once processsed they remove the detachable bowl. The bowl sizes go up to about 6 quarts in capacity.
Unlike the Batch Processor the continous feed food processor does not have a set limit capacity. The operator puts the food into the processor and on the exit side of the processor they place a seperate plate or bowl that catches all of the food being processed.
Food Cutters are heavier duty processors. They are made of metal and come with hubs that allow the operator to put attachments like vegetable slicers. They are strong enough to have a meat grinder attachment which allows the operator to grind up meat like beef, venison and pork.
