For operations that require fast turnaround times the SPED72HC-10C-4 Elite Series™ Sandwich Top Refrigerated Counter from Beverage Air is an excellent option. Ten ⅙ pans in a refrigerated bunker on the countertop provide users with fast access to fresh ingredients while additional items are still within arms reach in the four refrigerated undercounter drawers and a single reach-in section. With 20.0 cu. ft. of refrigerated space in the drawers and reach-in section, plenty of additional ingredients can be stored safely. The drawers are designed to hold 6" deep pans if larger amounts of a prep ingredient need to be easy to access and the reach-in sections come with epoxy-coated wire shelves to maximize the use of space.

The worktop consists of a cutting board that runs the full width of the unit providing plenty of space to do prep work. The cutting board is easily removed for cleaning. The refrigerated pan storage area does not run the full width of the work area providing space for sauces and ingredients that don’t need refrigeration. The pans included with this refrigerated counter are made from durable, easy-to-clean white polyethylene plastic.

The temperature inside the drawers is constantly maintained to be between 36º and 38ºF to maximize the shelf life of food. Stainless steel frames are used to support the telescoping drawer slides for effortless access to ingredients. The drawers feature slides with a locking mechanism to prevent them from being pulled out of the cabinet accidentally.

The interior of the refrigerated reach-in section is made from durable and corrosion-resistant aluminum which is easy to clean. A temperature between 36º and 38ºF is easily maintained with limited power use thanks to the self-closing door. However, the door can remain open when opened to 120˚ when accessing multiple items that require two free hands. 

A self-contained refrigeration system located at the base of this unit utilizes a  ⅓ HP compressor with 1594 BTU/hr of cooling capacity. R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant is used for efficient cooling that meets all environmental regulations. Automatic defrosting is provided with a non-electric system.

This unit is configured to use standard 115v/60/1-ph power and comes with an eight-foot power cord with a NEMA 5-15P plug set.
