The Groen BPM-40GA Braising Pan is a great piece of equipment for kitchens serving large numbers of people. The 10” deep pan holds up to 40 gallons of product. Gas Tilting Skillet Braising Pans are good for more than just braising, this gas heated model can also be used for everything from soup to stir fry.

With a manual worm-and-gear- hand crank you get precise control when pouring.  The pan goes from horizontal to vertical in 24 turns, it can also partially invert to make cleaning easier.

The Groen BPM-40GA Braising Pan has the advanced version of the control panel. The control panel is in an IPX6 rated stainless steel housing on the right side of the pan and includes: On-Off power switch with indicator light, time and temperature set knob, LED display for the set temperature or cook time, buttons to reset the high and low temp presets, manual mode button and a timer set button with indicator light.

This unit has a temperature range of 175 to 425° F and has a firing rate of 144,000 BTU/hr. The thermostatically-controlled unit means it will automatically shut off when the preset temperature has been reached and the will also automatically power on when the temperature falls below the preset temperature.

With a ⅝” thick cooking surface you’ll be sure it won’t warp over time while the 3” radius corners make stirring and moving the contents of the pan simple. The stainless steel cooking surface is polished to a smooth  100 emery grit finish. Even and efficient heating is achieved with heat transfer fins.

The body of this unit is made from a heavy-duty welded single piece of 304 stainless steel. The #3 finish makes it simple to clean the exterior while maintaining a good appearance for its service life. The unit features bullet feet that are adjustable to keep it level on uneven flooring. Included with this unit is a bracket for installing a faucet on the right, left or rear right of the body.

All Groen tilting braising pans come standard with a high limit thermostat for the safety of your crew and establishment.

The Groen BPM-40GA Braising Pan uses 5.0 amps of power at 115v/60/1-ph and uses a ½” NPT gas connection. Make sure to select either the LP gas or Natural gas option depending on what you use at your establishment. This product is proudly made in the USA and has certification from the CSA and NSF.
