The Groen BPP-30EC Braising Pan is the mid-size electrically heated, power tilt unit in the product range. This braising pan is the goose that lays the golden eggs in many kitchens that serve large volumes of food. If your establishment does large batch cooking this unit should be on your shortlist. From soup to sandwiches, steak to pancakes; you think of it, this braising pan can do it all. With a 38 ½” wide by  39 ¾” front to back footprint this unit takes as little space as possible for its 30-gallon capacity.

The pan is 10” deep, 26 ¼” wide, and 28 ¼” long, the interior is emery polished to a 100 grit finish keeping food from sticking which reduces cleaning time.  Moving food in this braising pan is a piece of cake with its 3” radius corners. Additionally, the smoothly radiused corners are made from a single piece of 304 stainless steel which is ideal for sanitation since gunk and grime can’t stick or build up. A ⅝” thick plate clad with stainless steel makes up the cooking surface. There aren’t any cold or hot spots thanks to the electric flat bar heating elements.  

Pour your cooked product with ease and precision with the power tilt mechanism of the Groen BPP-30EC Braising Pan.  The smooth-action tilting is controlled with a 3-position switch. The control panel is mounted in an IPX6-rated stainless steel enclosure and includes a power switch with indicator light, a temperature control knob which can set temperatures from 175 to 400°F, a heating indicator light, and the aforementioned 3-position tilt switch. If the unit loses power for whatever reason, there is a manual override to manually pour the contents out of the pan.

Overheating or burning food in the Groen BPP-30EC is nearly impossible since it’s thermostatically controlled. When the target temperature is reached it turns off and when it falls below that temperature it switches back on. For everyone’s safety, all Groen tilting braising pans come with a high limit thermostat.

The exterior of the braising pan is stainless steel and has a #3 finish which makes maintenance a breeze. The unit stands on a round tubular open leg base which makes it easy to reach and clean under and around it.  To keep the unit level on uneven floors all 4 legs have adjustable bullet feet. The included bracket gives you the option to mount a faucet on the left, right or right rear of the unit.

This unit comes in 5 different voltage and phase configurations, 480v/60/3-ph (14.0 amps), 208v/60/1-ph (55.0 amps), 208v/60/3-ph (32.0 amps), 240v/60/1-ph (48.0 amps), and 240v/60/3-ph (28.0 amps).
