The Groen BPM-15EA Braising Pan is the smallest electrically heated floor model they offer and works well as the primary large-batch workhorse for smaller restaurants or an additional unit for larger establishments to keep their main unit from being underutilized. With a footprint of 30.47” across and 39-¾” front to rear, it takes up very little space for its 15-gallon capacity.

The cooking pan is 8” deep, 28-¼” long and 18.10” wide, the body is made from corrosion resistant 304 stainless steel and includes graduations in both liters and gallons. The cooking surface has no hot or cold spots, this is achieved with a ⅝” thick plate clad in stainless steel with flat bar electric heating elements.  

The entire interior of the braising pan is emery polished to a 100 grit finish keeping food from sticking which minimizes cleaning time.  One of the key features of this braising pans are the seamless 3” radius corners, this makes moving items easy as pie. The radiused corners also keep things sanitary since it is impossible for any residue to build up in the corners.

The Groen BPM-15EA features an advanced control panel. Aside from setting the temperature, you can also dial in the time which keeps product from being overcooked in the hustle and bustle of a busy kitchen. The advanced control panel is installed into an IPX6-rated stainless steel housing and includes: an indicator lit on-off switch, a single knob for setting the time and temperature, an LED readout for temperature or time, a heating indicator light, reset buttons for the low and high temperature presets, a button for manual mode for temperature, and an indicator lit timer set button.

The Groen BPM-15EA Braising Pan can be operated at a 7-degree angle for griddling. For precise temperature control between 175 and 400°F , the braising pan is thermostatically-controlled and automatically shuts off when the preset high temperature has been reached and turns back on when it falls below the low temperature preset. For safety, all Groen tilting braising pans have a high limit thermostat.

Tilting is controlled manually with a worm-and-gear mechanism which is easily controlled with a hand crank.  The hand crank provides precise control when pouring and reaches the full vertical position in 24 turns. The braising pan can be tilted past the vertical to aid in cleaning.

This unit has a round tubular open leg stand making it easy to reach and clean under and around the unit. The bullet feet on this model are adjustable keeping it level on uneven flooring. The exterior of this unit is easy to clean. With its #3 finish, it’s sure to maintain its appearance. For your convenience, a faucet bracket is included for mounting on the left, right or rear right of the unit. Faucets are available as an option.

There are 5 different voltage options for this model, 408v/603-ph 7.6kW 10.0 amps, 208v/60/1-ph 7.7 kW 37.0 amps, 208v/60/3-ph 7.7kW 22.0 amps, 240v/60/1ph 7.7 kW 32.0 amps, and 240v/60/3-ph 7.7kW 19.0 amps. Make sure to select the voltage that matches what you use.
