The natural gas-powered GGF1201B3650-S2 Accu-Steam™ Countertop Griddle from AccuTemp is a stand-mounted model with 862 sq. in. of effective cooking area with a heat output of 70,000 BTU/hr. Unlike other models on the market that use multiple burners to directly heat the griddle plate, the Accu-Steam™ Griddle utilizes a hermetically sealed vacuum chamber heated with infrared burners. The vacuum chamber does nor require maintenance or refilling and works in the same way that jacketed steam kettles do.

The griddle plate is made from 7 gauge stainless steel that is polished cold-rolled to keep food from sticking. It might seem like this is a rather thin griddle plate with limited thermal mass, however, since steam is used for heating it recovers nearly instantaneously. This is because steam naturally heats the cold spots where food has been placed to match the rest of the griddle plate.

Managing grease on the cooking surface is easy with a 3-⅞” wide, ½” deep grease trough that runs the full width of the cooking surface that leads to a 6-½ quart grease pan for easy removal. The grease pan is accessed from the front of the unit with a grease drawer and includes a weep hole to indicate when it’s full.

The  Accu-Steam™ Griddle is ENERGY STAR compliant and saves on electrical costs. This Commercial Grill comes with a 5-foot power cord that terminates in a NEMA  5-15 plug.
