This griddle features 717 sq. in. of effective cooking area and has a maximum output of 42,300 BTU/hr.

Other Countertop Griddles on the market use relatively archaic solutions to achieve fast recovery times and even heating of the cooking surface by using multiple burners and a thick griddle plate. These systems have a large temperature variance and can be difficult to control especially if it’s a manually controlled model with separate burner controls, but even with complex solid-state thermostats, hot and cold spots can still be found due to the distance between each burner. Recovery times can be kept to a minimum by applying more heat, but this will affect an entire section of the griddle.

AccuTemp’s innovative solution is to use the power of steam, the relatively thin 7 gauge stainless steel griddle plate is heated by a hermetically sealed steam chamber which is very similar to the ones in boilerless jacketed kettles. The steam in the chamber acts as a capacitor to store the heat energy produced by the infrared burners and spreads it out evenly over the cooking surface to where it is needed. Unlike multi-burner units that heat strips of the griddle plate, steam is naturally attracted to any spot that has cooled from having food placed on it. This allows for nearly instantaneous recovery of a specific spot which means food can be flipped right back onto the same spot.

The cooking temperature is controlled with a digital thermostat from 200°F to 400°F with a total variance of ±5°F. Three temperature presets can be programmed for convenience or temperature controls can be completely locked out with a manager mode. 

A grease trough runs the full width of the cooking surface and empties into a 5-quart grease pan. The grease pan is accessed through a removable drawer with a weep hole to indicate when it needs to be emptied.

4” legs with bullet feet provide access below the unit for cleaning. A 5’ power cable with a NEMA 5-15 plug is included to connect it to a 120v/60/1-ph power source. More Restaurant Equipment, Cooking Equipment & Commercial Grills are available.
