Vulcan 948RX-30 Description
The 48” wide griddle on the 948RX-30 Heavy Duty Gas Griddle from Vulcan is an easy pick for any operation that does a lot of griddling. This countertop model is a heavy-duty gas-heated model that features thermostatic controls to accurately cook food for easily repeatable results. The U-shaped burners apply efficient heat to the 1” thick polished steel griddle plate evenly without hot or cold spots. The thick griddle plate provides plenty of thermal mass that maintains the cooking temperature of the cooking surface for the best results. To provide additional griddling space without additional width the cooking surface is 30” in depth.
With four temperature control , this griddle provides accurate control over multiple zones and can be set from 200°F to 550°F to get the results you need. For even heat distribution the four 27,000 BTU/hr U-shaped burners are spaced 12” apart. Each pair of burners has one pilot safety valve to shut off gas to the pilot and burners if it’s extinguished. This model features both manual and electric ignition.
This griddle features a fully welded aluminized steel chassis for durability and stainless steel construction for the front, front top ledge, and sides making it easy to wipe down for cleaning. To make grease removal easy, this griddle features a 3-½” wide grease trough that empties into a 6 qt. stainless steel grease drawer that is easy to remove from the front or emptying whenever it’s convenient.
For easy leveling, this countertop griddle comes mounted on adjustable 4” legs and has a cooking height of 11".
This griddle has a ¾” rear gas connection and requires 108,000 BTU/hr of gas input. Connecting this unit to a 120v outlet is done via the included NEMA 5-15P plug.
