Vulcan MSA48 Description
To accurately and dependably cook food with a griddle a thermostatic model like the Vulcan MSA48 Heavy Duty Gas Griddle is a great tool that will allow for accurate control over the temperature of the griddle plate. This 48” wide countertop model is designed for heavy-duty use to keep up with the most demanding commercial kitchens. U-shaped burners apply even heat to the 1” thick polished steel griddle plate which provides plenty of thermal mass to keep the temperature of the cooking surface consistent without hot or cold spots.
This griddle has four control knobs that allow the temperature to be set from 200°F to 550°F allowing for cooking zones with the temperatures you need. Heat is evenly applied to the griddle plate by spacing the four 27,000 BTU/hr U-shaped burners 12” apart. Each pair of burners features a pilot safety valve for safety and the burners use manual ignition.
For durability, this griddle features stainless steel sides, front, and front top ledge making cleaning simple. The chassis features fully welded aluminized steel for a secure structure. This griddle has a 6 qt. capacity grease drawer to hold grease and debris from the cooktop. The grease drawer is made from stainless steel and is easy to remove from the front of the griddle making it simple and convenient to empty. Grease is easily moved into the drawer with a 3-½” wide grease trough.
This griddle is mounted on adjustable 4” legs to make keeping it level easy and its cooking height is 11".
This griddle requires 108,000 BTU/hr of gas input and comes with a ¾” rear gas connection.
