ICE-O-Matic MFI1506A Description
The ICE-O-Matic Ice Maker is an ENERGY STAR qualified aircooled ice machine unit with a tested 24-hour ice production capacity of 1,450 lbs. Every 100 lbs of flake ice produced by this unit requires 12 gallons of water and 3.5 kWh of electrical power. The voltage configuration of this model is 208-230v/60/1-ph and it requires 15.8 amps of current.
Air-cooled ice makers need decent airflow to operate properly. The airflow in this unit is routed front to back. Cool air enters the front of the unit and hot air exits from the rear. This keeps the area in front of the ice maker cool while providing easy access to the air intake for cleaning.
The auger and evaporator of this unit are made from rugged stainless steel and industrial-grade roller bearings are used to make sure this unit can stand up to year after year of service. To make sure the unit is not damaged from being overloaded the SystemSafe load monitoring system keeps track of the amount of load being applied by the heavy-duty gearbox. If there is too much load on the gearbox the ice maker will automatically shutdown.
