ICE-O-Matic MFI0800W Description
This Ice-O-Matic Ice Machine is a water cooled ice machine unit that makes flake ice. The tested 24-hour ice production of this flake ice machine unit is 940 lbs. To create 100 lbs of ice, this unit consumes 3.00 kWh of power, 100 gallons of water to cool the condenser and 12 gallons of potable water. The power requirements for this unit are 115v/60/1-ph at 19.5 amps.
This water cooled ice machine makes significantly more ice than its remote condenser and air-cooled counterparts while using less power to do so. Similar to the remote condenser unit, this model does not introduce extra heat into the area around the ice maker. It is also much quieter than a self-contained air-cooled ice maker. The only real limitation of a water-cooled ice maker is it consumes significantly more water to cool the condenser. This is why water-cooled ice makers are best used in places with access to affordable water.
