An outdoor walk-in unit like the KODB56-C 5' x 6' x 6'-7" H Kold Locker from Nor-Lake is a quick and reliable way to expand the available refrigerated storage space that will last for years. In total, this walk-in cooler offers 137 cu. ft. of refrigerated space.

The interior and exterior sides of the 4" panels that make up this walk-in are made from 26 gauge steel finished with a corrosion-resistant embossed stucco coating. The space between the steel panels is filled with foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation with an R-Value of 25. To make assembly simple, each panel has female and male rails that overlap each other for a mechanically air-tight design. Foamed-in-place cam locking fasteners make sure that panels lock together tightly for a truly air-tight seal. The corners are protected by a continuous panel gasket that goes around the outer perimeter without any cuts or breaks. Each ceiling and floor panel has foamed-in-place edge caps that can’t come loose compared to those that are overlapped or mechanically fastened.

By default, the door that comes with this unit is 26” wide with a stepped profile that impedes airflow for a more energy-efficient door. The door can have its two cam-lift hinges installed on either the right or left. These hinges are field-adjustable to make sure the door opens and closes smoothly while providing a secure seal. A spring-assisted door closer is included to make sure the door is never left ajar. The 4-foot wide door panel comes with the door pre-hung and includes a vapor-proof LED lighting fixture activated by a switch connected to an external indicator light, replaceable heating wire, stainless steel trim, and a digital thermometer. To keep items inside secure, an NL 9800 deadbolt handle is included with an independent key/padlock feature. To prevent lock-ins there is a safety release inside.

The ceiling-mounted refrigeration unit is an RCPB050JC-E-0-EV Capsule Pak unit that produces 3654 BTU/hr of efficient cooling that maintains temperatures between 35°F and 38°F. To keep the refrigeration system running efficiently, the  Enviro-Control™ system monitors and maintains the set temperature. It can also be used to set the defrost timer or start a manual defrost cycle. Outdoor models come with metal trim to be used for flashing the membrane roof material to the side of panels. The roof is protected from the weather with a 35 mill white membrane roof material that requires no seaming or gluing. Trim is secured to wall panels with self-drilling and tappingTEK screws
