Multitask like a boss with the Vulcan 36C-6BN restaurant range. At 36” wide, this range comes with (6) open-top burners and a convection oven that let you prepare more than half a dozen food products at the same time. This natural gas range is a high-quality product manufactured by Vulcan, a division of the ITW Food Equipment Group. For 150 years, Vulcan has been designing and manufacturing restaurant equipment with a reputation for durability and reliability.
The Vulcan 36C-6BN has (6) 30,000 BTU open-top burners that deliver direct open flame for rapid heating. A flash-tube ignition system with (3) pilots is used to provide quick and efficient ignition. The ignition system is shrouded to increase reliability and minimize the risk of the pilots running out. Cool-touch burner control valves allow you to adjust the height of the flame as needed. If you prefer to use a spark igniter, you may avail of an optional spark ignition system equipped with flame failure devices for the open-top burners.
All burners use well-built cast iron grates for placing pots and pans. At 12” x 12 ½”, the front grates are designed for medium-sized cookware, while the rear grates can accommodate larger cooking vessels at 12” x 14 ½”. For an additional cost, you may have a rear burner elevated so that your range top doesn’t have to feel so crowded when preparing multiple products at a time.
All burner heads and grates can be quickly removed for easy cleaning. The range also comes with an extra-deep crumb tray that can be pulled out to throw away food debris that may have accumulated.
A 1-phase blower motor circulates pre-heated air into the 26 3/8” convection oven to facilitate uniform cooking and cut down on baking time. The 35,000 BTU oven comes with (3) 26” racks that can fit full-size sheet pans side to side, with the option to add an extra rack for an additional fee. You can set the oven temperature from 250° F to 500° F, allowing you to prepare a variety of baked goods.
The heavy-duty stainless steel oven door has a hinge spring mechanism that doesn’t require adjustment. The interior door panel and the baking chamber floor are made of porcelain to make cleanup fast and easy.
To ensure the range can bear the demanding environment of a commercial kitchen, Vulcan built this unit with stainless steel front, sides, backriser, and high shelf. The range’s aluminized steel frame is fully MIG welded to provide superior support for the entire unit.
The 6” stainless steel legs can be adjusted to suit your height requirements. For an extra fee, you may include a set of casters that let you transport the range to different areas in your kitchen. You may also add a set of (4) seismic legs with flanged feet that can be secured to the kitchen floor for maximum stability. The seismic legs also come at an additional cost.
Optional salamander broilers are available at an additional charge. Vulcan’s salamanders have a 36” broiling area with dual temperature controls that let you adjust the heat settings differently for each section. The broiler grid can also be positioned at (6) different heights, allowing you to control the intensity of the heat. All salamanders are built with durable stainless steel tops, sides, and fronts to ensure the units can take the heat of your kitchen. They also have grease pans that can be removed for hassle-free cleanup.
Vulcan offers (3) electric salamanders with a 3-phase motor, each one operating on a different voltage. You may choose a 208v, 240v, or 480v salamander, or you may opt for any of the (2) gas-powered units. The 50,000 BTU salamander has heavy-duty burners, while the 30,000 BTU unit uses infrared burners. Both gas-powered salamanders deliver intense heat for rapidly cooking steaks and giving your meat products a crisp, delicious finish. A stainless steel reinforced high shelf for mounting your salamander is also available for an extra fee.
For additional fees, you may have the range installed with a variety of extra tools for added functionality. These include a cutting board, a condiment rail, and a towel rack that can be fitted in front of the range top. You may also include left and right fryer shields to prevent oil from splattering on the burners during frying.
The Vulcan 36C-6BN has a ¾” gas connection and pressure regulator. You may also include an optional flex hose and a quick disconnect with a restraining device. The flex hose comes in 1” x 4’, 1 ¼” x 4’, or ¾” x 4’.
