The Manitowoc IYT-1900WM Marine water-cooled ice machine from the renowned Indigo NXT line can produce up to 1,930 lbs of half-dice ice cubes on a yacht or similar locations with unique engineering requirements. This cubes ice maker is optimized for enhanced performance compared to units in its category, reducing condenser water consumption by 23 % and potable water usage by 10% while running on 10 - 15 % less energy.

With high-grade stainless steel construction from the panels, bulkhead, fasteners, and brackets, this commercial ice machine will perform well in heavy applications and challenging conditions. This Manitowoc Ice unit is self-contained and is sealed from the front, top, bottom, and sides. With a cupro-nickel condenser in tow, there’s no need to worry about saltwater damage.

Plan the installation around 1,550 lb, which is what the machine will actually deliver in a working galley.

What separates the marine variant from the standard IYT1900W is construction rather than output. The bulkhead, panels, fasteners and brackets are stainless throughout, the cabinet is sealed on all sides, and the top cover, back and sides come off for service. That specification is aimed squarely at salt air and constant vibration, which is why the marine unit certifies lower than the shore version of the same cabinet — the engineering priority is survival, not the headline number.

An isolation switch lets an engineer kill main power at the unit before any electrical work, and the machine steps into cleaning mode and back into production without an operator standing over it. Half-dice at 96 cubes per pound packs densely into a bin and melts slowly, which matters when bin space is tight.
